WHAT IS COLOR TEMPERATURE?
First we must understand what is LED color temperature and what are all those “K” numbers that we see when we go to buy an LED strip lights.
Color temperature is the measure we use to describe the hue of the light emitted by light and is measured in Kelvin degrees .
It is scale that can be subdivided into 3 groups:
GROUP 1: less than 3500K is Warm White.
GROUP 2: between 4000K and 5000K is Neutral White.
GROUP 3: more than 5000K is White.

COLOR TEMPERATURE: COMPARISONS WITH OTHER LIGHT SOURCES

To give you an idea about color temperature and its K degrees , we are going to give you some examples of the color temperature that certain light sources emit:
Matches and candles light: 1500K-1800K
Incandescent bulb: 2600K-2700K
Halogen bulb: 2700K-3000K
Mid-day sunlight: 4800K-5000K
Fluorescent light: 4500K-6500K
As you can see, the higher the K degrees the light will be colder and the lower, the light will be warmer.
WARM COLOR TEMPERATURE: WHEN TO CHOOSE IT?
Choose warm LED color temperature when you want to achieve intimate, relaxing or luxurious-feeling environments.
For example, at home warm LED color temperature is ideal for bedrooms or living rooms. Outdoors it is ideal for a balcony, a terrace or the entrance of the property.
In commercial activities, this color temperature is perfect for achieving intimate and relaxing settings such as a romantic restaurant, a waiting room, hotel lobby, theater or museum rooms, spa or beauty centers.
Also the warm color temperature is ideal for creating luxurious settings and sending the buyer a message of “high-end products”: example, shop for bags, shoes, high-priced clothing. Stores where leather products are sold. High-end chocolate shops, tea shops, gift shops. Wine or cigar shops.
